Job summary

Medicine Board is seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Nurse who is enthusiastic about practice development, infection and medical specialties. The Clinical Practice Facilitator role is a fixed term 12 months (Maternity Cover) working days Monday to Friday, there is a potential for flexibility with rota. We are looking for a nurse with experience of inpatient medical wards to work with our teams to contribute to providing the best care for our patients across 2 divisions within medicine board (Infection and Medical Specialties). Our Team is tight knit and work well together and support each other to achieve the best outcome.

This post is also available as a permanent, part-time 30 hours per week contract, and will be advertised separately. Main duties of the job

Applicants need to be strong communicators and demonstrate an ability to train, assess, educate and develop others, work well autonomously and within a creative team. Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures. Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, motivate colleagues, champion patient safety and dignity also drive continuous improvement. As part of the team, you will work with the Medicine board CPF team, Matrons, Sisters and Nurse's in Charge to develop best practice and nursing skills. There are opportunities to work across several wards and departments and will be required to work with all staff to support with their education and development. Additionally, you will help to develop and implement a training needs analysis and proactively engage with education and research agendas for nursing. Also expected to work with the wider community of Clinical Practice Facilitators, educational staff and others at all levels across the Trust; creating excellent opportunities for your professional development.This role will provide you with an excellent scope and support for furthering your knowledge of undergraduate and post graduate education, practice based and academic learning.
