The post-holder will be responsible for managing projects in the NCL Cancer Alliance Primary Care portfolio including:COMPASS (Community Pharmacy Assessment for Barrett's Oesophagus and Reflux Symptoms)NCLCA is working on a Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) funded innovation project to support the early diagnosis of cancer. The COMPASS Project aims to identify undiagnosed patients with Barrett's oesophagus (BO) and early-stage oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC) in pharmacy settings and through community outreach.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for: Design and implementation of a diagnostic pathway for capsule sponge endoscopy across multiple healthcare organisations (community pharmacy, general practice, voluntary and community organisations, Community Diagnostic Centres, and secondary care) Supporting diagnosis and case finding of BO/OAC symptoms in at-risk populations in community settings Reducing health inequalities in BO/OAC detection Utilising data and analytics to target interventions Ensuring effective clinical and patient engagementCancer Clinical Coding Minimum Dataset (MDS)Accurate and consistent clinical coding is essential for improving cancer care in primary care settings. The Cancer Clinical Coding Minimum Dataset (MDS) provides a structured framework for capturing key data across the cancer pathway. The Senior Project Manager will support the clinical lead in implementing the MDS to improve coding practice.
Due to the project go-live date, an ability to make an immediate start would be advantageous.
