An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinic Administrator to join the UCH Outpatients Department. You will be part of an outpatient team delivering a frontline administrative support service to both patients and clinical teams.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working within a busy multi-disciplinary outpatient team to support in the delivery of a high quality outpatient service. You will work collaboratively to provide full clinic receptionist and administrative support to various clinical teams, patients and visitors across the three medical specialties outpatient departments. This is a permanent full-time role with working hours of 37.5 hours per week with shifts spanning across our operational times of 8am-6pm.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, you will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated with a pro-active approach towards teamwork and service delivery. You will have a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and sensitivity with an acute awareness of the needs of both patient's and the clinical teams.In addition, you should have good organisational skills supported by previous administrative experience. You will be required possess a competent level of IT skills using Microsoft Office software packages, experience in the use the Epic (Patient administration Record) or similar IT systems will be an advantage but not essential.
This is an actively busy role and the successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. With customer service being a high priority, you will have the ability to respond effectively and respectfully and to patient queries.
