This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the newly established UK DementiaTrials Network (UK DTN). The post holder will collaborate with PrincipalInvestigators, UK DTN funded site staff and Alzheimer's Society Nurses acrossthe UK, as well as liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the efficient and effective development and growth early phasedementia clinical trial delivery.We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, organised and experienced seniorresearch nurse with excellent communication skills to help establish, developand maintain a burgeoning portfolio of early phase dementia clinical trials, aswell as overseeing the systems, procedures and teams associated with thedelivery of early phase dementia clinical trials in the Dementia Research Centre(DRC) and Leonard Wolfson Experimental Neurology Centre (LWENC).The post is to start as soon as possible for [3 years] in the first instance.

Main duties of the job

The UK DTN Alzheimer's Society Lead Research Nurse is an experiencedindependent specialist practitioner working in partnership with the DRCDirector, Head of Clinical Trials, trial management team and CRF Deputy LeadNurse to lead the delivery and growth of clinical trials locally within the DRC.

The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical and professionalleadership and line management to research staff within the DRC.The post holder will have joint responsibility with the senior management teamand Head of Trials for overseeing the management and delivery of early phase research studies in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure that all studiesare delivered to high research and clinical governance standards.

The Alzheimer's Society Lead Research Nurse will be responsible for providingleadership, support, training, and education for the trials team, supported bythe senior management teams. The post holder will also be responsible fordirectly managing patients on clinical trials.
