We are looking for a Specialist Dietetic Practitioner to jointly lead the metabolic team and support the service from a strategic perspective and to be responsible for dietetic research, clinical expertise, staff training and service development in the area of Inherited Metabolic Diseases.
The post holder should have highly effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively within teams.
We are a forward-thinking department of over 60 dietitians committed to clinical governance initiatives. You will be actively involved in CPD and department activities.
Main duties of the job
The Charles Dent Metabolic Unit is one of the largest and longest established services in the world for the treatment of adolescents and adults with Inherited Metabolic Diseases. We are seeking a dynamic, flexible and innovative dietitian, with a significant amount of clinical dietetic experience, including previous experience in metabolic dietetics.

Pay arrangements are:
more than 1 year but less than 2 years before completion of training 70% of top of Band 8a.
70% = £42,352.80 Basic plus £8,172 HCA Allowance
up to 12 months before completion of training 75% of top of Band 8a.
75% = £45,378 Basic plus £8,172 HCA Allowance
After completion of training, subject to meeting the competencies outlined in the attached document, the post-holder will move to entry level Band 8a.
