Job summary
The Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit (SDU) at UCH was opened in October 2006 and has certification to ISO 13485 and is MDD accredited. The unit is based in University College Hospital and provides a centralised decontamination service to UCLH Foundation Trust. Allied with this is the centralised Endoscopy Decontamination Unit (EDU) for flexible endoscopes and Neonatal decontamination.
We are looking to recruit to the post of Quality and Training Manager an individual who will manage and develop the documentation (both paper and electronic) which supports the departments' Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring continued compliance to the relevant standards and be responsible for ensuring the training needs of the Trusts' decontamination personnel are met.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have experience of setting up, developing, and managing work around quality management processes. Some knowledge of HTM 01:01 and HTM 01:06 would be desirable.
Having a proven ability to work as part of a team to support a service, be able to demonstrate a willingness to adopt a flexible work approach and a commitment to personal development is essential.
