Job summary
Candidates are invited to apply for a full-time position working in our Nuclear Medicine department, for 40 hours per week. The post is composed of 6 Clinical PAs which are permanent, and 4 Research PAs which are initially for 3 years, renewable. Subject to academic performance, the research component of post is aimed to become permanent. However, the post will revert to a substantive 0.6fte upon termination of the research grant.
This is a consultant post to support and develop radionuclide and PET imaging and increase academic capacity.
The successful candidate will also be expected to active in research and will help develop and support the academic research program at the Insitute of Nuclear Medicine, UCLH as well as develop their own research ideas.
We are one of the biggest Nuclear Medicine departments in UK and Europe, providing a range of specialist procedures in PET, radionuclide therapy and general nuclear medicine. Our service is rapidly expanding and we are looking for a motivated individual who can work flexibly and provide leadership and specialist expertise to drive quality improvements, sustainability and innovation.

Main duties of the job
o To work closely with the senior professional workforce, radiographer and technologist colleagues, medical, physicist and nursing staff to ensure provision of an efficient and responsive Nuclear Medicine service including providing consultant supervision for diagnostic radionuclide imaging in all service areas.o Report general nuclear medicine, bone densitometry and PET/CT, PET/MRI studieso Attend multidisciplinary oncological and non-oncological multidisciplinary meetingso Contribute to the audit and quality improvement projects in the departmento The appointee will be expected to support and lead research projects in line with the academic program of the department
