Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with excellent technical and communication skills to join the Business Intelligence Team in the Surgery and Cancer Board.
We provide accurate, timely and complex analytical support to the Board, turning data into meaningful information that all aspects of the business (quality, access standards, productivity, activity, income, research) can utilise to make evidence-based decisions and drive improvements. As such, strong Excel skills, an attention to detail and the ability to expertly interrogate relational databases using SQL is essential. Experience of Power BI is also desirable. Applicants should also be experienced in communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and be able to cater analytical products to a wide range of audiences.
Main duties of the job
Whilst the post holder will work closely with the Business Intelligence Partners they should be able to work autonomously, and with minimal supervision where required. The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple and competing priorities to meet agreed deadlines.
