Applications are welcome to the post of General Surgery Trust Grade SHO. This is a full time 12 month fixed term appointment.
We are looking for a SHO level doctor to join our exciting General Surgery team.
The post-holder will work closely under the direction of the Surgery Consultants and Specialist Registrar Trainees with duties to include day-to-day inpatient care, operating with and assisting senior team members in theatre. The post holder will cover specialities such as Upper GI, Endocrine, Bariatrics and Colorectal.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be encouraged to participate in professional development activities and clinical governance programmes including audit. The post holder will also provide support and leadership to more junior staff on the team. This position offers equal training opportunities for all members of the team and so the post holder can expect to have sufficient training during this post.
The post holder will participate in a surgical oncall rota.
