Senior Fellowship in Hip Surgery - Hip Preservation and Arthroplasty

The Trauma and Orthopaedic service at University College Hospital is led by 16 Consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. We are seeking a Senior fellow to join the young adult hip service, specialising in both hip preservation and arthroplasty surgery. The Fellow will also be working alongside a team of musculoskeletal radiologists, anaesthetists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled orthopaedic surgeon with keen interest and experience in hip surgery who is specifically looking for exposure and training in hip preservation including arthroscopy and periacetabular osteotomy as well as complex primary hip arthroplasty.The candidate must be post FRCS (Tr+Orth) or equivalent, have completed their specialist orthopaedic training and have obtained full registration with the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom.We are seeking candidates for a start date of September 2025 and the post is for 12 months. We would also consider appointing candidates for future years if appropriate.
