An exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse/Clinical Trial Practitioner to join full time - UCLH/UCL Research and Development Agile Workforce in supporting multiple specialty studies across UCLH Trust.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse/Clinical Trial Practitioner to become part of the Research and Development Agile Workforce at UCLH. The Research Nurse/Clinical Trial Practitioner will provide exceptional specialist nursing care to a wide variety of patients across multiple specialties (Neurology, Women's health, Paediatrics, Infectious disease, and many others) and deliver different phases of research across the trust. This includes early phase clinical trials as well as larger scale multicentre studies. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail. The successful candidate will need willingness to learn and an interest in working across a range of specialties at UCLH/UCL.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be supported by Senior Research Team within the unit, and the role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who are keen to develop their career in Clinical Research Nursing/Clinical Trials. The post holders will work in close collaboration with Principal Investigator and Research Support Staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.

As Research Nurse/Clinical trials Practitioner, you will play a key role in the successfully delivery of our clinical research within the research directorate division. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage clinical trials and be responsible to provide high-quality research. Your main responsibility will be ensuring the recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities and reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance and local Trust policies for research. You will be required to plan and manage your own workload effectively and demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential. The ability to work autonomously but in collaboration with others is essential. Strong communication and organisational skills are also essential. A flexible proactive working approach is a key element to this role.
