Job summary
Applications are invited for a therapist post, 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week) in the unit of Paediatric Dentistry post at the Eastman Dental Hospital, part of the Specialist Hospitals Board of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicants will join an established team in providing a wide range of paediatric dentistry services, postgraduate training and research.The therapist position is a fixed-term post for maternity leave cover, that will provide them with a diverse group of patients to work with.Full current GDC registration and an excellent working knowledge of infection control and health and safety issues are also required.Good inter-personal and communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships at all levels.For informal enquiries please contact Ms Amanda O'Donnell, Consultant & Clinical Lead, Dept of Paediatric Dentistry via email amanda.o'donnell1@nhs.net

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work under the direction of the consultants as prescribed in the unit and will be supported by specialties and other qualified dentists, and be directly responsible to the Clinical Lead.
The postholder will be expected to have a high level of knowledge and expertise in general dentistry as relevant for a Therapist with a special interest in the field of Paediatric Dentistry. Postholder should have a specific interest in complex problems and multidisciplinary work. The postholder should demonstrate a high quality approach to patient management.
Postholder will be expected to undertake mandatory training in line with the requirements of the department and the Trust.
