We are pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow to join the Head & Neck team, within the Surgical Specialties division at UCLH. The post is available to start October 2025.
Main duties of the job
This is an interesting opportunity for experienced trainees who seek to perfectionate delivery of primary surgery and post-operative care in advanced head and neck surgical oncology cases. The post holder will learn to work alongside a knowledgeable team of multidisciplinary professionals that contribute to high quality care with enhanced recovery. There is ample opportunity to learn and hone skills in major ablative surgery of the upper aerodigestive tract, and harvest and transfer of autologous tissue for the purpose of reconstruction.Applicants will also be encouraged to participate in research, audit and service improvement within UCL collaboration projects around individual development requirements and the need of the service. The ultimate goal of the fellowship is to leave the post-holder in conditions to take consultant/staff surgeon posts, preferably in academic institutions.For more information regarding the main responsibilities of the role, please refer to the attached Job Description.

- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- MRCS/ or equivalent postgraduate diploma
- Completion of specialist training in Otolaryngology, OMFS , General Surgery (with head and neck surgery training) or Plastic Surgery (with head and neck surgery training)
Desirable
Clinical Experience

- A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in Head and Neck surgery equivalent
- Competence in clinical skills relevant to Head and Neck training
- Experience at SpR level or equivalent
- Understanding of clinical risk management
