Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a nationally recognised rheumatology service.

You will be working with patients suffering from a range of rheumatological conditions. You will help to ensure excellent quality of care.

The role will also include strong working relationships with the UCLH musculoskeletal services and partners.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and skilled physiotherapist/advance practitioner with excellent communication skills. You will need to be able to work well independently as well as part of a team and this role is vital to ensure an integrated multidisciplinary approach to care which requires close working with services users, and hospital based clinical staff.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • oGood written/spoken English
  • oPhysiotherapy degree/or equivalent
  • oPhysiotherapy HPC Registration
  • oPostgraduate studies for example, MSc or Masters modules in relevant subject
  • oSignificant post qualification experience in Rheumatology therapy outpatients
  • oSignificant experience in Band 7/Band 8a in musculoskeletal physiotherapy outpatients
  • oExperience at clinical specialist level rheumatology physiotherapy outpatients
  • oExperience of management of complex hand conditions & surgery
  • oHighly specialist knowledge & experience of a wide range of approaches to the management of patients with a wide variety of complex/chronic pain musculoskeletal presentations
  • oAbility to work as an autonomous practitioner in an area where no support or advice may be available
  • oEvidence of commitment to advanced clinical and non-clinical continued professional development within musculoskeletal outpatients, e.g. post registration training, management competencies and evidence of a detailed personal development portfolio.
