The role is suitable for an accredited consultant in a clinical specialty e.g. dermatology and will be a great opportunity to enhance and bring added value to UCLH and UCL clinical, research and teaching activities.

Main duties of the job
The post will be based at UCLH and comprises 5 NHS/clinical PAs and 5 UCL academic PAs.
The post holder will hold a substantive contract with UCLH and Honorary Contract with UCL as a professor or associate professor depending on seniority and experience.
The academic/NHS split for the post will run for 3 years in the first instance. The successful candidate will be a UCLH employee, with a permanent contract of 5 NHS/clinical PAs and an additional 5 research PAs fixed term for 3 years. The post is funded 50% by UCLH and 50% by UCLH Charity. Clinical and academic progress will be supported on an annual basis by the Head of the UCL Research Department of Rheumatology, Ageing and Inflammation and Divisional Clinical Director of Medical Specialties UCLH.
There will a regular and iterative dialogue on the progress of the work, the successful candidate and future funding. We anticipate the successful candidate will work with us to secure a financially, clinically and academically sustainable future for this work and the team the successful candidate will lead and help create.
