Eastman Dental Hospital Education Centre

SPECIALTY GRADE DENTIST POST (0.2 WTE)

POSITION WORKING PATTERN: WEDNESDAY (1 DAY PER WEEK).

Applications are invited for a Specialty Grade Dentist to join the team in September until February 2027. The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Successful applicants will join an established Dental Education Team committed to high quality research-based academic and clinical teaching.

Main duties of the job

Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and experience in pre and post registration teaching and training.

Applicants must have experience of teaching and supervising trainees.

  • Registered GDC dentist (BDS)
  • Current GDC registration and compliance with CPD requirements

Desirable

  • Qualification appropriate to teaching in the Lifelong learning Sector
  • Mentoring qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in the management of patients with general dental and restorative treatment needs
  • Experience in education of dental care professionals
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable

  • Involvement in post-qualification programmes/courses
  • Experience in delivering online education and training

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the principals of clinical governance and audit
  • IT Skills particularly Excel & PowerPoint
