Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and talented General Manager to join the Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care Unit at UCLH.
The postholder will be predominantly responsible for the acute medicine inpatient services and the same day emergency care unit as well as the outpatient service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have strong operational management experience and will be expected to learn and develop withing the role as well as provide operational leadership for the Emergency Services Division. The postholder will be responsible for the day to day running of the service, effective management of budgets, workforce, performance and service improvements.
Candidates should have experience of working closely with multidisciplinary teams, leading service developments, data management and staff management. We are looking for a leader who can demonstrate effective communication skills, team working, excellent problem-solving abilities and strong values based in line with the UCLH Trust values.
