Job summary

The Medical Specialties Division is looking to recruit 1 full time Administration Coordinator to manager the new teledermatology 2ww acquisition pathway within the Dermatology administration team.

The postholder will have key working relationships with all members of the administrative and clinical teams including medical staff, nursing staff and support workers. They will act as the first point of contact in communication regarding teledermatology with patients and GP practices.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for escalating and troubleshooting issues and will contribute to the efficient running of the teledermatology service. The post holder will be required to maintain a comprehensive audit of users of the service. This post will include work based at the Mortimer Market Centre, where the Dermatology clinical service is based.

The post holder will need to have the ability to manage a busy and varied workload. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in the role.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Grade C or higher in English
  • Knowledge of the full range of administrative procedures, acquired through training and previous experience of working in an administrative environment.
  • Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data protection Act.

Experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of secretarial procedures at a high level of competence acquired through either training or experience.

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience.
