Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in supporting our Electronic Health Record (Epic) training team. We are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join our innovative Epic Training team.Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Our Electronic Health Record - Epic - helps to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs. Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our training team.

Main duties of the job

As an Epic Training Administrator you will support the Epic training team in scheduling training, booking people into training and providing administrative support to the team.We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic team member who can adapt to this fast-paced and broad role. Applicants will require strong administrative skills and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust priorities quickly to the rapidly changing needs of a large teaching hospital.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of the full range of administrative procedures, acquired through training and previous experience of working in an administrative environment.
  • Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare Support Services or equivalent qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Experience of responding to queries in a timely and accurate way.
  • Experience of data inputting and maintaining manual records systems.
  • Experience of working in an education team

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience.

  • Able to organise own workload to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
  • Able to draft basic standard reports and correspondence
