Job summary
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Epic-certified or accredited professionals with a keen interest in digital healthcare. The successful candidates will join an experienced and diverse team of analysts who support UCLH's digital infrastructure.
Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Our Electronic Health Record, Epic, helps to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs. Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our EHR team.
This is an exciting time to join our team, with significant growth planned for the department. UCLH will be supporting the implementation of Epic for another NHS Trust and is therefore holding a dedicated recruitment drive. We are looking to hire analysts across a range of applications and have a range of roles on offer both within this new project and within our existing Epic teams aligned to UCLH.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will oversee and be responsible for the design, configuration, build, and testing of their application modules. You will support the Management team to ensure the team execute relevant plans and deliver work on time in adherence to the established governance structure and quality standards. You will work with departmental leads, operational managers, super-users, and subject matter experts, analysing service needs to agree and deliver clinical best practice standards, future workflows and system optimisation. You will contribute to scoping and prioritisation of new projects in line with Trust strategic objectives.
The work will include developing, leading and supporting analysts within an application team, and working closely with training, technical, information, programme management, benefits and communications staff. You will spend a part of your time working with other EHR teams in several 'integrated areas' requiring close collaborative and co-ordinated working with other applications, including: orders, users & security, reporting, testing, training, interfaces, and business continuity planning.
We also have a rolling upgrade programme which delivers new features and functionality to ensure the system is up to date.
