Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a 10PA Consultant Neurologist to join the Headache team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
The headache teams provide a national tertiary service to patients with complex and chronic headache presentations (including chronic migraine and cluster headache). The teams take referrals from all over the UK, and patients often have complex needs.

Main duties of the job
This post is part of the plan to enhance the capacity for seeing complex headache and facial pain patients referred to the Headache Group at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and thereby deliver a service that is compliant on the 18-week pathway. Moreover, this role will contribute to the growth of our services in calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) monoclonal antibody therapy and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak treatments.
The neurologist in this position will be responsible for evaluating and treating a range of complex headache conditions, including those patients who are candidates for CGRP monoclonal antibody treatment, as well as those requiring diagnostic procedures and treatments for CSF leaks.
