Job summary

The Department of Respiratory Medicine at University College London Hospital is delighted to invite applications for a Clinical Fellowship (ST3+ or equivalent) in Robotic Bronchoscopy and Respiratory Medicine for 1 year from October 2024.

Candidates must be committed to a research vision and will be expected to undertake their own research in the field of Robotic Bronchoscopy. The post will suit trainees wishing to develop subspecialty skills in Lung cancer management and research.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will support Professor Sam Janes, Dr Neal Navani, and Dr Ricky Thakrar and work within the Lung Cancer team. They will help in the delivery of our new Robotic Bronchoscopy service, the first dedicated NHS-based service of its kind in the United Kingdom, and provide clinical support to the team of clinical nurse specialists and administration staff.

The post will include outpatient lung cancer and nodule clinic work, attendance at bronchoscopy lists, and participation in departmental governance and training meetings, and is intended to be used as a springboard to apply for fellowships to carry out a PhD.
