The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery Neuroscience Team are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse with a passionate for Neuroscience and education to join the Clinical Practice Facilitator Team.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) is the United Kingdom's oldest and largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. We are part of University College London Hospitals NHS foundation Trust and we are linked with the University College London (UCL) Institute of Neurology. Together we are a major international centre for neuroscience training and research.

We have a variety of Neurological specialities here at NHNN including Neurosurgery, Neurology, Epilepsy, Motor Neurone Disease, Surgical and Medical Intensive and Critical Care, Stroke, Neuropsychiatry and a Level 1 Neurological Rehabilitation Centre.

Main duties of the job

It is an exciting time to be involved with an expanding practice development team and develop skills while supporting and working closely with junior staff, at a local and trust wide level.

We are looking for someone with excellent clinical care skills who can work alongside staff to transfer and empower their expertise, knowledge and skill set. The successful applicant must be highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching all staff within the wards. The candidate must be an outstanding communicator, can demonstrate first-rate organisational and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently in a busy and fast paced work environment.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to support, train, develop and educate others; work well autonomously and as a team member in a team. You must hold a teachingr mentorship certificate or equivalent and have recent vast experience in a Neuroscience setting or a relevant specialty. The Neuroscience course would be an advantage.

The successful individual will have a pivotal role in delivering Trust Objectives as well as ensuring that the care delivered reflects the Trust Vision and Values.
