Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding and improving Procurement and Supply Chain Directorate at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Procurement and Supply Chain Directorate influences strategy, and supports boards & divisions to deliver patient care and drive value through their Cost Improvement Plans (CIP).

Based in the Strategic Procurement Team, the Assistant Procurement Business Partner role will align to the Surgery & Cancer Board and provide Trust wide collaboration. The Procurement and Supply Chain Directorate is seeking highly motivated, analytical, conscientious individuals who can work under pressure in challenging financial times.

Main duties of the job

The post of Assistant Procurement Business Partner, reporting to the Senior Procurement Business Partner, will be required to undertake, implement and monitor a number of procurement activities. The post holder will be responsible for identifying, supporting and leading on procurement projects, which will deliver cash releasing and value added savings against non-pay spend, contributing to CIP targets.

Supporting the Senior Procurement Business Partner, the successful candidate will lead and manage the procurement operational aspects of the Board. This includes ensuring the day-to-day function operates smoothly and that any issues are dealt with in a proactive and positive manner.
