Job summary
We are looking for someone to join our team to take the lead on managing the recruitment and initial induction of new volunteers.
This rewarding role will suit someone who understands volunteering, and who has first class communication and relationship building skills to promote the service and bring on board new volunteers. You will be well organised, like multitasking and working within clear process and systems, with the ability to adapt and improve them where necessary. You are an excellent problem solver, able to deal with multiple deadlines and enjoy working with people of all levels and backgrounds.
Prior experience of working with volunteers is essential and you will need to demonstrate this in your application in order to be longlisted.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the UCLH Volunteer Services Team, which together is responsible for the development and support of volunteering across all of UCLH, you will manage our recruitment, helping bring in 250-350 new volunteers a year.
You will manage our apprentice and oversee all recruitment in the team. You will also have responsibility for the UCH Shopping service that supports 20-40 in-patients a day with essentials shopping.
