A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the patient services and the Homecare and Procurement teams on a rotational basis.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent organisational skills and with a desire to provide a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to our patients.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will be:
The post holder will develop through exposure during one-year rotations through:
- Patient Services on the UCH main site
- Patient Services on the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery site, where the post-holder will support the principal pharmacist for Queen Square to deliver and develop high quality patient services care to inpatients and outpatients. This role includes the provision of specialist clinical pharmacy screening for neurology patients.
- Homecare and Procurement, where the post-holder will support the clinical lead for medicines homecare and procurement with the following:
- Ensuring that medicines homecare schemes are set-up and run in line with all professional and clinical standards
- To provide; to monitor performance of homecare providers and the Trust in line with the Trust Medicines Homecare policy.
- To support clinical teams in the adoption of medicines Homecare schemes;
- To lead on clinical incidents and complaints related to Homecare.
- To work with the medicines procurement and relevant clinical/medicines management colleagues to ensure appropriate clinical input into medicines procurement decisions including the management of medicines shortages and switches.
- The post-holder will also spend 20% of their time providing clinical support to Homecare activitie
