Are you interested in joining an innovative, high profile and dynamic dietetic team of over 40 staff? We are seeking two self-motivated Band 5 Dietitian to join our team. The position will enable you to develop your skills in a variety of different specialities.
Due to internal promotions we have a two Fixed Term vacancy within our Band 5 Team.
We are a large friendly department providing high quality nutritional care to patients across all areas of our Trust. We have close links with universities - King's College London, London Metropolitan University, and University College London. As a department we are involved in student training and take students on placement 2 and 3. We are committed to appraisal and continued professional development.
Main duties of the job
This post provides a fantastic opportunity for an individual to develop a wide range of nutrition support skills with a varying mix of inpatients and outpatients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment whilst developing their clinical skills.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and confident individual. You should have the ability to work well within teams and be able to manage your time effectively. Applicants will possess BSc Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) and be HCPC registered. Excellent communication skills and effective team working skills are essential.

The Band 5 position is part of the Band 5 Rotations. The rotational posts cover the following areas:
Rotation 1: Oncology & Haematology
Rotation 2: Surgical Rotation
Rotation 3: Acute Medicine & Diabetes
Rotation 4: Care of the Elderly
In all four of the rotations you will work alongside other members of the team and will attend regular MDTs and ward rounds. In the first instance our Band 5 team members at UCH provide cross cover to one another, however there is the opportunity to gain specialist inpatient and outpatient experience in each of the rotations. You will have the opportunity to be involved in delivering education sessions for the Care Certificate, patient group talks working in collaboration with Macmillan Support and Information Centre, as well as supporting student training and departmental research and audit.
