Job summary

University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a 10 PA Consultant ENT Surgeon with interest in Sleep. The appointee must have a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.

This 10 PA post will require experience in medical and surgical management of routine and complex ENT cases, specifically patients with Sleep conditions. An element of the role will be to support the General ENT demand across NCL.

The post holder will be jointly clinically responsible to the Clinical Lead for Adult ENT, Mr Prem Randhawa, and the Clinical Lead for Sleep, Dr Sara McNeillis; as well as accountable to the Clinical Director for Surgery, Prof Peter Andrews.

Professional Qualifications

Essential

  • Eligible for full UK GMC Registration
  • MCEM / MRCP(UK) / FRCS(ORL) and CCT or equivalent
  • On GMC Specialist Register in relevant specialty, or at the time of interview within 6 months of expected date of CCT
  • NB: Non UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist Register in relevant specialty by date of interview.

Desirable

  • Higher degree in data analytics eg. MSc
  • Teach the Teacher/ teaching qualification or equivalent course
  • Sleep medicine course certification

Clinical Experience

Essential

  • Experience of management of complex ENT cases.
  • Paediatric experience and training

Desirable

  • International travelling fellowships in sleep surgery and sleep medicine
  • Higher surgical training in a tertiary sleep unit
