Job summary

This role is based in the Gastrointestinal Services Division at UCLH and provides specific training and unique experience in Neurogastroenterology, GI physiology and Nutrition.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be working within a team which includes three consultants - Dr Natalia Zarate-Lopez, Dr Asma Fikree, and Dr Rami Sweis, one associate specialist, four clinical nurse specialists, one dietician, one psychologist and a psychiatrist. The team provides a tertiary service for patients with complex disorders of gut brain interaction from London and beyond and receives a high volume of referrals for patients with complex neurological conditions, as well as those with urogynaecological problems.

The post-holder will be working with the nutrition team which includes three consultants - Dr Farooq Rahman, Dr James Willsmore and Dr Jane Macnaughtan, 3 Nutrition Clinical Nurse Specialists, 2 Dieticians, Pharmacist, 1 SpR, and 2 FY2s to contribute to the care for patients with nutritional needs. Out-patient care will focus on specialist opinion for referrals for general gastroenterology and nutrition.
