UCLH is looking for a senior programme leader to establish, organise and drive forward its new Digital Innovation Hub.
The Digital Innovation Hub (DiH) has recently been created at UCLH and will create a safe space for innovators across UCLH, UCL and third-party collaborators to work effectively together to solve problems that add value to patients, staff, UCLH and the wider NHS.
UCLH has been at the forefront of digital transformation in the NHS and the purpose of the DiH is to increase digital innovation and collaboration across our teams and external partners. It will accelerate discovery and deployment of digital innovations at UCLH and in the wider NHS. It complements existing digital structures within the organisation, and further enables UCLH to tackle problems at pace and assess, discard and move on, whilst being able to deliver into clinical and operational use those that are successful and capture organisational learning in both cases.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of UCLH and support the Executive Board in delivering its ambitions to be a leading digital hospital. This role will be responsible for:
- The successful establishment of the Digital Innovation Hub
- Implementing the operating model for the DiH, contributing to its design and operationalisation of the key components, including resourcing, technology, structures, governance, processes, relationships, stakeholders, procurement and performance management.
- Day to day operational management of the hub
- Establishing a pipeline of digital innovation projects and developing an overarching plan for delivering those projects.
- Fostering a digital innovation community at UCLH, harnessing their energy and creativity to bring exciting digital solutions to the organisation.
- Contributing to a strong and positive culture of digital innovation.
- Horizon scanning to find sources of digital innovation which are appropriate and beneficial for UCLH.We are looking for a dynamic individual who displays a passion for digital innovation, preferably with a keen interest in health and care services and who has strong experience in a large, complex organisations.
