Job summary
To assist the Head of Property Management with the financial, legal and marketing aspects of the Trust's strategic property management function and to lead on specific projects, proposals and initiatives.
The responsibilities of the Strategy Directorate include the work of the Property Team. The team are responsible asset management of the Trust's estate, property contract matters, space utilisation and space management (but not Facilities Management, which is the responsibility of the Trust's Estates & Facilities Management Directorate).
Candidates will have experience in the field of property asset management, commercial agency, landlord and tenant matters, project management and/or estate management.
They will have proven experience in the purchase, sale, leasing and letting of commercial property.
Main duties of the job
The duties of the role require supporting the Head of Property Management with asset managing a large modernising NHS property portfolio and advising on property contract matters. Duties include:
- Delivery of disposals and acquisitions for the
- Assist the Head of Property Management with the financial, legal and marketing aspects of the Trust's property
- Generate opportunities to maximise commercial income and receipts from property assets and to manage the realisation of such opportunities.
- Liaise directly with the Trust's counterparties, advisors and/ or solicitors in negotiating terms of agreements on property related
- To asset manage the Trust's property portfolio
- To lead property related strategic drivers of Property Rationalisation and Asset Utilisation for the Strategy Directorate in an asset management role.
- To provide professional asset management duties in relation to the organisation's estate, including advice on landlord and tenant matters (including rent reviews and lease renewals), acquisition and disposal of owned or leased land and premises within the organisation's property portfolio.
- To manage the usage and allocation of space throughout the Trust
- To develop and implement appropriate decant and enabling programmes
- Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
