Job summary
The post-holder will be accountable to the Divisional Clinical Director. The post is within Radiology in the Imaging Division of the Surgery and Cancer Clinical Board. Imaging Division.
The Imaging Division is made up of two separate departments, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. There is a Divisional management team, including a Divisional Clinical Director, a Divisional Manager and a Matron for the Division (shared with GI services). Nuclear Medicine is a tertiary referral unit, undertaking the full range of Nuclear Medicine tests, including PET/CT and PET/MR. Radiology forms the larger element of the Division and is made up of a number of sub-specialty teams, which reflect the case mix of the wider Trust.
The post-holder must have subspecialty experience in Myeloma, as well as general / oncology cross sectional radiology, in order to support the delivery of the Haematology and Oncology services, at UCH. The Radiology Department is very active in both teaching and research and the post-holder would be expected to participate in these.

The Radiology Department is very active in both teaching and research and the post-holder would be expected to participate in these.
The post-holder will work together with multidisciplinary teams to develop and provide the Radiology services within the Department and to ensure development of the service under the guidance of the clinical lead. There is a weekly general radiology Acute session covering inpatient and A&E scans, and the post carries a requirement for a non-resident diagnostic on-call service (~ 1-2 weekends/year). There is a separate on call service covering Intervention, which is currently shared amongst all seven members of the Interventional team.

- Full GMC registration.
- Relevant CCT or equivalent [equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of GMC].
- Entry on the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC.
- FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification.
Experience

- At least one year of recognised sub specialty training in the reporting of whole body MRI and the use of whole body MRI in bone marrow imaging
- Ability to supervise Acute Radiology, including Acute US intervention
