This role offers an opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy team at UCLH and is a rotational post covering a wide range of areas within the Radiotherapy service covering pre-treatment, treatment-prep, treatment units and brachytherapy. UCLH is seeking a committed individual with the energy and focus to continue building on the existing service of excellence.

Main duties of the job
A band 5 radiographer will work as a member of a team of radiographers on a treatment unit or within pre-treatment.
He/she will take professional responsibility for his/her own actions. The post holder will always work with a senior radiographer who she/he will be able to liaise with if required.
He/she will supervise and teach student radiographers, radiotherapy helpers, trainee assistant practitioners and assistant practitioners who are on the treatment unit or in the simulator.
He/she will perform a range of procedures as required, to varying degrees of complexity.
They will assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit including maintaining appointment systems and working methods to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are met.
Work with their team in the prioritisation of work depending on the severity of a patients' condition and the direct impact on their management.
Undertake personal and professional self-development opportunities as determined by performance review and self-direction.
Undertake continuing professional development to satisfy the requirement of HPC and to ensure skills, competencies and knowledge are maintained and developed.
