Job summary
The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is now recruiting a Band 4 Cardiovascular (ECG) Technician. This post will be of interest to someone who wants to build on existing skills whilst gaining specialist knowledge in Electrocardiography.
The candidate must have outstanding communication, organisational and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy and fast paced work environment. The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to use their initiative whilst supporting others; working well autonomously and as a team member.

This covers routine and urgent inpatients and outpatients as well as emergencies as part of the NHNN Cardiac Arrest Team during working hours. The post holder participates in the delivery of patient care, contributes towards the department organisation and supports the outpatient department team in provision of a safe and caring environment. The post holder demonstrates a level of skill and understanding in electrocardiography which enables them to undertake specific tasks as agreed with clinical leads and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies. The post holder will undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
