Job summary
To support the Claims and Inquest Managers across a portfolio of Inquests and legal claims. The Claims and Inquest Assistant will be the initial point of contact for all communications relating to Coroners' Inquests and Claims, and will activate the processes to ensure that each case is managed efficiently systematically through to completion andoutcome. The post holder will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and keeping up to date, and then closing, the Radar folder for each case within their remit. Responsibilities will include producing a complete file set for each Inquest and Claim as requested by the relevant Claims and Inquest Manager.o Claims support includes clinical litigation, employer and third party liability claims, andInquest support includes managing and preparing, inquests to conclusion.

Main duties of the job
- Support the Claims and Inquest Managers with the investigation and reporting of new claims and follow up on mature claims, including obtaining relevant documentation, scanning / copying documents arranging interviews to obtain witness statements, and reporting to the NHS Litigation Authority.
- Update the claims module in the Trust's Radar risk management system to maintain an accurate and current record of progress.
