Job summary

The role is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd Line support across the Trust on both Hardware and Software.

The main office is HQ Waterloo but the successful candidate will need to visit other sites across London to carry out work.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist in the development and implementation of office automation throughout the Service.
  • Provide hardware and software support Service wide.
  • To help users develop and identify their needs, provide guidance and advice on software/hardware products within the approved product set, according to the user's role within the trust.
  • Our support system includes all end-user issued devices, such as, laptops, desktops, iPads, mobile phones, desk phones and interactive wallboards
  • To staff the Service Desk, as required, providing a full software support service, acting as first and second level support for end user hardware problems and liaise with the (external) third level hardware maintainers.
  • To act as first level onsite network support, including problem identification and necessary liaison with the (internal) second level teams.
  • To facilitate timely and appropriate service user IT training.
  • Maintain and administer systems critical to the provision of services to the Trust and the public.
