You will receive a basic salary of £22,816 plus an additional High-Cost Allowance supplement (HCAS). The HCAS will be dependent on where your main base is located (£4,313 per annum for outer London or £5,312 per annum for inner London). And will include an unsocial hour's payment.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that patient journeys are delivered in the most effective and efficient way. You will provide assistance to others when problems or delays occur; by putting the patient first and ensuring that they arrive at their destination in a safe and timely fashion.

We are hosting our first careers fair!

LAS Fest East London will be taking place on Saturday 13th July 2024 at 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU. You are invited to come and meet the team, learn new skills and discover the career opportunities we have available.

Main duties of the job

This role deals with non-emergency calls. NETS was commissioned to convey lower priority patients to a relevant health care facility, who, from the information provided, do not appear to require any significant clinical intervention. This reduces the requirement for this type of call for a paramedic resource and enables them to respond to the higher priority calls.

NETS staff have the ability to call on other LAS health professionals should the need arise. NETS crews are not trained to drive on "blue lights" and therefore cannot provide emergency conveyance and will complete all journeys under normal driving conditions.

The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS) is the largest free ambulance service in the world. We care for more than one-and-a-half million patients every year and are at the frontline of the NHS in the capital, covering the whole area within the M25.

We will provide you with a 5 week training course and 60 hours of mentorshipwhich will include basic ambulance procedures, first aid skills, basic life support (Oxygen and Entonox therapies), patient assessment, manual handling, lifting and driving skills.
