Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for assistant managers to support the Make Ready management team. Working with the sector manager, you will oversee and manage the make ready hubs in your sector. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills and experience whilst having the support of a sector manger. You will gain an insight into LAS polices and procedures and how you apply them to staff. You will obtain a detailed understanding of the Make Ready function and how it supports clinical delivery whilst also working closely with other departments including logistics and VRC.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be organised and able to plan for both self and your teams. There will be a need to respond to immediate staffing and delivery issues and to deal with medium and long term planning of resources and work.
You will be able to work on your own initiative whilst aware of the need to communicate and share information and able to seek advice and support as appropriate.
On occasion you will need to deal and resolve sensitive and challenging issues and so the ability to adjust your approach to the situation, understand different perspectives and come to an agreed outcome is key.
You will need to travel between sites and so a driving licence is essential.
You will need to be able to work full rotating shifts .
You will need to use computer systems, record information and outcomes, write reports and ensure data is captured.
