Job summary
The Business Engagement & Change (BE&C) Dept at The London Ambulance Service is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to work within its Digital Portfolio. The BE&C Dept oversees and governs the Trust's delivery of digital transformation within Emergency & Urgent Care (999 & 111), Clinical, IM&T, Estates and Fleet services.
BE&C is a well-established team, consisting of Business Development, Business Analysis, Resource Management and IT Programme & Project Coordination. It operates as a trusted partner with all other London Ambulance Directorates and Depts. delivering efficient and effective value-for-money outcomes for the Trust.
You will be joining at a busy and exciting time for the Trust, as the team works to deliver a number of key Frontline Digitisation and Infrastructure projects, alongside programmes aimed at delivering an overall improvement in the operational suitability and efficiency of the Trust's estate.
Main duties of the job
The role sits within the Business Engagement & Change department, who are responsible for the delivery of all Trust Digital Programmes and Projects.
The IT Project Manager must have experience in identifying, planning, coordinating and evaluating a broad range of Information Management & Technology (IM&T) programmes and projects. This role will be responsible for taking the lead and the day-to-day management of the programme and project teams, acting as a specialist in IM&T programme and project management, maintaining thestandards and delivering the quality and consistency required to deliver critical services and ensuring alignment of IM&T programmes and projects with Trust objectives and other initiatives.Development and management of business cases and project budgets.
This role will require a good understanding of digital and technology services, preferably within the healthcare sector, and a proven track record in project and programme management.

- To be a specialist in IM&T programme and project management matters.
- To deliver long term IM&T programme and projects which impact across the LAS including a broad range of complex changes in the models of infrastructure and service delivery and the delivery of new systems and services.
- Provide guidance and support to IM&T Senior Programme Manager, programme/project senior responsible officer (SRO), and executives in the delivery of IM&T programmes and projects and in support of the strategic direction of the Trust.
- Provide guidance and support to IM&T managers in the management and delivery of IM&T projects.
- Resolve issues and conflicts that arise within the IM&T programmes and between Trust programmes, thereby ensuring the integrity of the Trust programmes overall.

- Identify and analyse business objectives, translating them into programmes, projects and enablers required including service design and operational plans as required and with desired outcomes and benefits.
