Job summary

Are you a Talent Management specialist? Are you a technical Organisation Design expert?

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone who has a passion for Talent Management and Organisation Design to help shape the future of London Ambulance Service (LAS) and play a pivotal role in the delivery of our People and Culture strategy.

This is a fantastic career opportunity within the award-winning People & Culture Directorate at LAS.

As the Talent Management Associate Business Partner, you will lead on the design and implementation of a creative and sustainable talent management strategy that will deliver an integrated talent management programme for LAS. The key areas of responsibilities will be organisation design, career paths, competency management/frameworks, job/talent profiles, talent assessments, succession management and management of talent pools/pipelines.

All in all, our mission at LAS is:

  • Becoming an increasingly inclusive, well-led and highly skilled organisation people are proud to work for

This role, reporting to the Head of OD and Talent, will play a significant part in making that happen. And there are great networking and learning opportunities personally, as the post holder will work alongside other business partners across the Directorate as well as with other Directorate leaders/teams and external providers.

Interviews will take place on Friday, 2 February 2024 face-to-face in London.

Main duties of the job

  • The Talent Management Associate Business Partner provides a strategic and consultative service to all Directorates and senior management teams, enabling talent management and OD interventions. The postholder develops value added solutions and initiatives that allow LAS to measure areas of success and influence new ways of working that reinforce and embed the Trust's values.
  • Working with People & Culture colleagues and LAS colleagues, you will write and oversee the implementation of the new Talent Management strategy and associated policies, procedures and Local and Trust Guidance. To do this, you will ensure that effective and appropriate strategic plans are in place across all directorates aligned to one of the corporate missions: Becoming an increasingly inclusive, well-led and highly skilled organisation people are proud to work for.
  • The post-holder will provide the Trust with expert knowledge of Talent Management and OD (strategic and operational) approaches. In doing so, you will provide a business-focused approach to identifying and analysing talent and development data that will be used to design and plan modern effective ways of working, resulting in a positive impact on our colleagues and other stakeholders.
