Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a diverse team, supporting the education programmes for Ambulance Services in one of the busiest ambulance services in the world. The Clinical Education and Standards department has moved to brand new specialist education facilities, and the Support Services Administrator role is crucial in supporting the education of our clinical workforce.

The successful candidates will be experienced in providing comprehensive administrative support, with strong communication and organisation skills. The successful candidates will take pride in their work, and be flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.

Main duties of the job

Responsibility for providing clinical course bookings, course preparation, and course administration.

Responsibility for the maintenance of all training records, including liaison with awarding organisations to ensure the appropriate certification of learners.

Responsibility for equipment, uniform, vehicle and product ordering, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Responsibility for the maintenance of departmental course management databases.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with staff at all levels
  • Significant experience in the use of computer packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
  • Good keyboard skills RSA Level 3, NVQ 3 or equivalent plus relevant practical experience

Desirable

  • Experience of working in NHS or public sector organisations
  • Ability to utilise digital technologies e.g. Totara, ESR, GRS and mobile / electronic learning apps

  • Able to work to and achieve deadlines
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce and maintain accurate records
