Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced GP to join our team as Assistant Medical Director. You will provide clinical leadership and direction to our Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care Clinical Assessment Service (IUEC CAS) with predominant responsibility for the South East London 111 service based in Croydon.
Main duties of the job
You will join a clinical leadership group of experienced GPs and paramedics. The team is extremely friendly, supportive and passionate about high quality patient care and service delivery. You will need to be MBBS and MRCGP qualified, on the GMC GP register and performers list. You will need to have significant post registration experience as a General Practitioner and have experience of working in multiple clinical settings including GP OOH, Urgent Care Centres and Emergency Departments. You will have a sound understanding of clinical governance and clinical leadership theory and practice, be goal focused and have the ability to work collaboratively with other professional groups and organisations. About us
Integrated urgent and emergency care (IUEC) is rapidly evolving within the healthcare system and LAS are a pan-London provider with established partner relationships across the system enabling collaborative development of IUEC care pathways to improve response and quality of care provided to patients seeking urgent and/or emergency care by calling 111 or 999.
LAS has transitioned from a Pan London emergency response provider to also being the largest London urgent care provider with a multidisciplinary workforceoperating across 5 ICS areas. The IUEC team include paramedics, nurses, advanced practitioners, pharmacists and doctors. This is an exciting time to join the Trust, as we continue to integrate both urgent and emergency care provision incorporating the 111 and 999 services.
