This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking paramedic to play a major role in supporting the development of collaborative emergency care pathways across London. We are able to offer a full-time Consultant Paramedic with an on call supplement.
The Consultant Paramedics are primarily responsible for the provision ofclinical and management support, alongside contributing to appropriate standards of care and clinical governance across the Trust.
The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills (both verbally and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals.
- HCPC registration,
- Experience in clinical management and leadership,
- Specialist qualification in prehospital care (FIMC, DIMC, Dip RTM etc.)
- Has current general knowledge of the national NHS context, particularly those in relation to the ambulance service,
- Good IT Skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant Paramedic will have responsibility for the following functions:
- To provide clinical leadership and support to the wider organisation
- To provide clinical leadership and expertise within all clinical areas associated with the development of a clinical model.
- To provide clinical leadership, mentorship and senior clinical support to clinical staff
- To provide expert input to clinical developments within the Trust.
- To work closely with Stakeholders implementing and delivering on the Model of Care including, but not restricted to; NHS111, IUC and Emergency Care
- Foster an open and transparent culture where people are willing to report and learn from incidents and near misses
- To support the Clinical Directorate in the strategic development of both internal and external educational programmes.
- To provide expert clinical guidance in clinical case reviews
- To be part of the Clinical on call rotas

We are also expanding clinicaltechnologyto ensure that our clinicians have access to the most up to date information about prospective patients, prior to them needing care.
