Job summary

We currently have great opportunity for an experienced staff member to join our team as a Health Roster Project Lead. The post holder will work closely with our management teams to support provision of an expert and responsive roster service to all Trust staff. We are looking for enthusiastic individual with an outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills to enhance our service.

Main duties of the job are:

implement all system upgrades

increasing quality & compliance

act as lead administrator for all Allocate modules

management of expenses & Wagestream systems

plan training sessions for internal/external staff as needed

produce reports

manage day to day activity of the support team/s

help to develop existing members of the team, empowering them to increase their knowledge and expertise

Excellent communication skills are essential as the post requires the ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with staff, Ward/Department Managers, suppliers as well as HR colleagues. You should also have excellent IT skills (Safe Care, Health Roster, NHSP, ESR, TRAC, Easy & Wagestream), and confidence in producing and analyzing reports, identifying trends and monitoring KPIs.

Main duties of the job

This role is to project lead and support the Trust's Health Roster program and re-introduce best ways of working.

The Health Roster Project Lead will work with ward and clinical managers in the early stages of projects to develop and implement staff rosters that support the Trust services and comply with Trust policies.

Working with Trust service leads to implement Health Roster and Temporary Staffing system enhancements to improve and support the Trust's staffing and Safe Care model.

Promoting best practice and assist with the implementation of new Health Roster modules/new units to ensure optimal use and achievement of benefits for the Trust.

The post holder will work with project colleagues to achieve all related finance and performance targets set for the project.

Re-introduce and implement Health Roster to Trust service areas where uptake or non-compliance is occurring.

Work with service leads, clinical leads and management to discuss implementation of Health Roster to ensure compliance and best practice across the Trust services.

Ensure Trust Communication and standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are published and in place.

Working with management teams to ensure the successful delivery of the Health Roster project across the Trust.

Co-ordinate and plan the phases of the Health Roster project and facilitate the preparation work in all areas.

Work with key staff to implement Health Roster across all wards and departments.

Co-ordinate, arrange and deliver system training to all managers and deputies.

Arrange and deliver training on the web-based E-Rostering system for all staff.

Work with IT, payroll and temporary staffing to realise maximum efficiency of the E-Rostering system.

Assist in the development of a Trust-wide roster policy and ensure that the rules are applied within the E-Rostering system.

Act as an advocate for E-Rostering within the Trust and to be involved with project communications.

Provide system management and user support for the E-Rostering system, manage software upgrades and support documentation.

Review the authorisation hierarchy to reflect the correct authorisation structure.

Review the expense claims in line with Trust policy.

Re-introduce the E-expenses model to reduce paper claims, where possible.

Work with the Safe Care implementation team to ensure the model is embedded within business as usual.
