The Barnet CAMHS in Specialist Schools team is a small dynamic community based team; that sits within the local Specialist schools provision at The Pavilion (PRU)
'The Pavilion' is the umbrella name for the Specialist schools provision set within London of Borough Barnet and refers to the following school sites:
Meadway: Pupils year 7 to 11 who have been out of mainstream school for some time as a result of medical and/or mental health challenges.
Whetstone: Pupil's year 7 to 11 who have been permanently or temporarily excluded from school.
Primary PRU: Provided support for Pupils from Reception - Year 6, who have been temporarily or permanently excluded from their mainstream primary school.
Outreach Service: Pupils who are not able to access education outside of their homes because of medical and/or mental health needs.
Discovery Classroom: located next to the Galaxy Ward Outpatients area on the second floor of Barnet General Hospital, is open to school-age children aged between 4 - 16 years old, while they are in hospital
Oak Hill Campus: a specialist provision for years 7 to 11, all pupils have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and have complex comorbid neurodevelopmental and LD presentations

Main duties of the job
- To support formal and informal assessment in respect of the social communication needs of children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties including applying psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care.
- To work with multidisciplinary and multiagency colleagues as appropriate to offer support and guidance around social communication needs of children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties, under supervision.
- To co-deliver workshops and trainings to parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals.
- To attend clinical meeting and in-service training as required.
- To keep up to date with new techniques and research for the maintenance and promotion of good practice especially in relation to students with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Record all clinical information in line with trust policies
- Support service development and quality improvement project
- To be responsible for the planning and prioritization of own workload and activities following the direction and guidelines given by the supervising clinical psychologist.
- To write the termly report capturing service data
