Job summary
The Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) Project Coordinator will provide high quality and comprehensive L&OD support to an exciting merger of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, to form the North London NHS Foundation Trust.
This role will support and coordinate all L&OD elements of the upcoming merger with a focus on staff engagement, working closely with the Director of Organisational Development and senior team.
As a key member of the People team, the post holder will take a lead role in supporting the efficient and effective management and progression of the project and pro-actively identify potential issues, escalating where appropriate.
This role will also provide support to other L&OD projects that arise during employment.
Main duties of the job
Support the Strategic OD partner in carrying out interventions relating to staff engagement, organisational culture, and change management.
Ensure L&OD interventions are evaluated effectively and learning from these evaluations shared through the relevant forum
Support the development of an organisational culture where staff feel valued, supported, involved, engaged and empowered with the aim of providing safe, high-quality care and being recognised as an employer of choice in line with our organisational values.
Provide advice and guidance by working alongside managers and staff in planning and implementing engagement activities.
Ensure that L&OD engagement interventions have clearly defined outcomes that underpin our Partnership values
Participate in committees and project management groups providing the appropriate level L&OD information, expertise and advice.
Ensure compliance with Partnership policies, procedures and guidelines for self and others, by taking action/alerting the Strategic OD partner if practice appears to contravene policy, or if concerned about any aspect of customer/service user care

1. Contribute to the delivery of the Partnerships New Trust engagement strategy.
2. Provide specialist advice, facilitation and guidance relating to organisational engagement initiatives.
3. Act as an L&OD project partner to the clinical divisions, and the estates & facilities and corporate directorates.
4. Maintain up to date project documentation for designated L&OD projects.
5. Assist in providing information for inclusion in reports for various meetings e.g., PET and People and Culture Committee.
6. Attend meetings on behalf of the wider L&OD team i.e., project group meetings as and when required.
7. To attend and provide L&OD related updates as required to divisional business / management meetings as delegated.
8. Contribute to the research and development of new strategies and initiatives for continuously improving and transforming employment practice in the Trust to enable the Trust to become the best place to work. This might include implementation of elements of the Trusts People Strategy where the planning of such strategies requires long term implementation plans to be developed.
9. To ensure that paper-based and computerised records, systems, and information are maintained in a way that allows up to date and timely information to be available and in line with relevant General Data Protection Regulations, including maintaining L&OD databases and spreadsheets.
10. To build manager capability in effective people development by providing expert L&OD advice, guidance and training, empowering managers to take responsibility for people development whilst ensuring consistency across the Trust.
11. Actively contribute to the development, review and implementation of L&OD policies, procedures, and toolkits in accordance with employment law and best practice.
12. In agreement with senior managers, take the lead on analysis and sharing of annual staff survey / quarterly People Pulse Survey and other survey results as appropriate, providing support and guidance on development and implementation of clear action plans.
13. Promotion of key L&OD policy and legislation changes affecting the Trust, including drafting communications and briefings.
