Job summary
Barnet are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and empathic leader to engage with our Barnet Community teams to build the vision for our mental health services transformation and beyond. The Service Lead role is key for the planning, organisation and delivery of community services including the management of staff and budgets. The main aims are to provide timely, efficient and effective operational service management for their service, ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and person centred, in line with our Partnership ambitions and the NHS Long term plan.
The post holder will lead on oversight of projects to improve service delivery and patient experience, utilizing the QI methodology. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and maximise the use of available resources, meeting financial and other corporate/ divisional targets
They will provide assurance that robust systems of governance and performance are in place and that high quality client led services are being developed and delivered in partnership with the local authority, other divisions in the Partnership, other respective Trusts, PCN's, as required. They will work closely with all internal teams, supporting interface governance and processes to ensure seamless service for patients moving through both acute and community services.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the visibility of leadership, knowledge of services and specific issues within the portfolio of services and for upholding and role modelling the values, behaviours and standards expected of all employees in the Trust.
- Ensure the vision, purpose and objectives of the services are understood and embedded in the service plans, objectives, and staff appraisals.
- To be the senior operational Manager responsible for the services ensuring their quality, performance, productivity, financial and contracting requirements are met.
- Develop a cohesive operational team and together develop clear work plans for assurance and improvement within the service.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff teams and individually to direct
- Lead planning, reviewing and reporting on financial, performance and quality assurance plans for all services within the remit of this post.
- Promote a solution focused leadership style that acknowledges and empowers staff contribution and enhances motivation and development at all levels.
- Contribute to system integration through effective collaboration with service users, peers and partners within the local health, social care and voluntary services.
