This is a full-time, permanent position within a 7 day per week/24hours a day service which provides urgent care for people experiencing mental health crisis as an alternative to hospital admission. The CRHTT is crucial in delivering urgent crisis resolution assessments and treatment for service users by assessing their needs and caring for them in the least restrictive environment.

We are honoured to reveal that the team has been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrist Home Treatment Accreditation Scheme (RCPsych - QNCRHTT) with an award which recognises crisis teams that meet the highest standards of care. We are focused on treating our patients with "crisis resolution" lens - attempting to enhance everyone's personal strengths, abilities, and the support they receive from their families and peer networks. It is an exciting place to work - we are very proud of taking an approach where we consider people, their diversity and their experiences and abilities as an enormous value to understand their needs. We have collectively created a culture within our team where staff feel they can contribute their views, are valued and able to perform to their full potential.

Main duties of the job

The team are looking for a pro-active practitioner who will be able to provide a supportive role to other members of staff, acting as a role model. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate creativity, resilience, flexibility and take a positive approach to the running of the service and service user care.

The position is primarily a clinical position involving the assessment of the mental health needs for clients in the community and liaising with community mental health teams and other external agencies, ensuring service users receive the best possible care. Post holder should be able to work autonomously and must demonstrate a high level of expertise as a mental health practitioner. The post holder will be expected to maintain high standards of care and comply with all policies and guidelines as per BEH standards together with those of their professional body
