Job summary
The post holder will work as a member of the Psychosis Pathway which feeds into the North and South Core Teams in Enfield. The pathway aims to deliver service user focused and evidence-based care of the highest quality to those experiencing psychosis and bipolar. The postholder will be joining a team of psychological therapists and will a case load of highly complex cases and ensure the systematic provision of high-quality specialist psychology service (e.g., Neuro psychometric assessment, CBT and Family Intervention treatment interventions as recommended by NICE Guidelines). The post holder will also be expected to facilitate psychoeducation groups and workshops to service users and carers.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be:
- Responsible for ensuring the systematic provision of a high-quality trauma-informed specialist integrated psychology service to service users with psychosis and/or bipolar. This will involve undertaking psychological assessments; evidence-based short term and longer-term psychological interventions and contribute to group work.
- Responsible for providing psychological formulation and consultation to contribute to the care plans and management of service users
- A team member of the Psychosis pathway which is integrated into the Core Teams and work collaboratively with MDT members
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to non-professional carers
- Supervise psychological assessment and therapy provided by attached doctoral trainees and supervise psychologically driven treatment interventions by other members of the MDT.
- Provide training, supervision and support to other colleagues who provide psychologically based care and treatment.
- Expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the pathway
- Utilising skills for research and audit and contribute to policy and service development in relation to the Psychosis Pathway
- Implementing post-incident support and reflective practice.
