Enfield Rapid Access Service (ERAS) provides two clinical pathways to the residents of the London Borough of Enfield, is expanding and we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Band 7 Senior Occupational therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. ERAS provides Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services. The team is operational 7 days a week between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. ERAS is an innovative service that aims to:
Main duties of the job
As a member of Rapid Access Services, you will be expected to be a competent Occupational Therapist who is able to adapt to following pathways of Rapid Response (community admission avoidance) and D2A (Discharge To Assess pathway one)
You will be part of a community team where your proven ability to make high level clinical decisions will aid patient recovery. This will include having a direct link to the patient's discharging medical and therapy team for liaison and support where necessary and with the patients GP or other health care professional to prevent hospital re-admission.
You will provide complex assessments and interventions and will make high impact clinical decisions. You will be expected to work autonomously whilst drawing assistance from other colleagues in primary and secondary care.
